 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryan Joel Adist, who left us on May 24, 2024. Born on March 15, 1980, Bryan was a cherished son, brother, and friend, whose life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and passion.

Bryan grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he developed a love for nature and the outdoors. He pursued his education at the University of Iowa, earning a degree in Environmental Science. His career reflected his commitment to preserving our planet, as he worked tirelessly with various environmental organizations to promote sustainable practices and conservation efforts.

Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Bryan was deeply involved in his community. He volunteered at local shelters, participated in community clean-ups, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His compassion and dedication touched many lives and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Bryan was also an avid musician, often found strumming his guitar and singing with friends and family. Music was his solace and joy, a gift he shared with those around him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Margaret and John Adist; his sisters, Emily and Grace; and a close-knit circle of friends who considered him family. Bryan's legacy of kindness, love for the environment, and unwavering support for his community will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.

A memorial service will be held at the Cedar Rapids Community Center on June 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Environmental Defense Fund in Bryan's honor.

Bryan Joel Adist will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, Bryan.
