Sister Lorrilla joined the Sisters of Mercy in her early twenties, committing herself to a life of spiritual devotion and service. Her journey in religious life was marked by compassion, leadership, and unwavering faith. Over the years, she served in various capacities within the order, including teaching, community outreach, and healthcare services. Her work impacted many lives, providing comfort, guidance, and support to those in need.


Known for her gentle spirit and warm heart, Sister Lorrilla was a beloved figure in her community. She had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, offering wisdom and kindness to everyone she encountered. Her dedication to her faith and her relentless efforts to help others were inspirational to all who knew her.


 

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sister Lorrilla Mabus Walthall will be held at the Mercy Convent Chapel on June 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mercy Foundation to support the charitable works that Sister Lorrilla held dear.


Sister Lorrilla Mabus Walthall's life was a testament to the power of faith and service. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
