Obituary: Jose Rio Hilapad Capaciete, Distinguished Civil Engineer and Beloved Community Member

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Rio Hila pad 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗲, a beloved figure in his community, who left us on June 10, 2024, due to complications from a heart attack. Jose was 67 years old, and his departure leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

Jose Rio Hilapad Capaciete, a beloved community member, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 67 due to complications from a heart attack.


Born on April 12, 1957, Jose grew up with a love for learning and a passion for helping others. He pursued a degree in civil engineering from the University of Santo Tomas, which paved the way for a distinguished career in construction and infrastructure development. Jose's expertise and dedication were instrumental in numerous projects that enhanced the lives of many.


Jose married Maria Elena in 1985, and together they built a loving family with their three children: Miguel, Isabella, and Sofia. As a husband and father, Jose was known for his unwavering support and boundless love. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.


Beyond his professional achievements and family life, Jose was a pillar of his community. He actively participated in various charitable activities, always striving to make a positive impact. His kindness and generosity were evident in everything he did, from mentoring young engineers to volunteering at local shelters.


Jose's sudden passing is deeply felt by his family, friends, and colleagues. He is survived by his wife Maria Elena, his children Miguel, Isabella, and Sofia, his sister Teresa, and his brother Roberto. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the lasting contributions he made.


A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Church on June 15, 2024, at 3 PM. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Habitat for Humanity, an organization close to Jose's heart.
