Margaret and Derek were inseparable since their youth, having met in college and embarked on a journey of love and partnership that lasted a lifetime. Their bond was built on a foundation of mutual respect, shared values, and a deep affection for one another.


Margaret, born on September 5, 1948, was a beacon of kindness and grace. Her warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, finding joy in nurturing her family and creating cherished memories together.


Derek, born on July 12, 1946, was a pillar of strength and integrity. His quiet determination and unwavering support were constants in Margaret's life and in the lives of their loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his family's needs above his own.


Together, Margaret and Derek built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. They enjoyed traveling to new places, spending time with family and friends, and nurturing their garden, which was a source of pride and joy for them both.


Their passing leaves a void in the hearts of their children, grandchildren, and all who knew them. Margaret and Derek are survived by their children, Sarah, James, and Emily, and their grandchildren, who were the light of their lives.


A joint memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Church on June 16, 2024, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the lives of Margaret and Derek and honor the love they shared. In lieu of flowers, the Firth family requests donations be made to the local chapter of the National Road Safety Foundation, in memory of Margaret and Derek's tragic accident.


Margaret and Derek Firth will be remembered for their enduring love, their unwavering devotion to each other, and the profound impact they had on all who knew them. Though they may be gone from this world, their love will live on in the hearts of those they touched.
