Obituary: Gladys J. (Regotti) Tobin (1935-2024) – A Life of Grace and Dedication

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gladys J. (Regotti) Tobin, who peacefully departed this life on June 1, 2024, at the age of 89. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and community pillar, Gladys lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

 Obituary for Gladys J. (Regotti) Tobin, who passed away on June 1, 2024, at the age of 89.


Born on February 14, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gladys was the cherished daughter of Antonio and Maria Regotti. Growing up in a close-knit Italian-American community, she embraced her heritage, which became a cornerstone of her life and values. Gladys

was known for her warm, welcoming spirit and her ability to bring people together with her exceptional cooking, infectious laughter, and generous heart.


In 1956, Gladys married the love of her life, James Tobin, and together they built a family filled with love and support. She dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker, creating a nurturing environment for her children and later, her grandchildren. Her home was a haven of comfort and joy, a place where everyone felt welcomed and cherished.


Beyond her family, Gladys was an active and respected member of her community. She volunteered at her local church, participated in numerous charitable activities, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her selflessness and dedication to others left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.


Gladys' life was also enriched by her many hobbies and interests. She was an avid gardener, a skilled seamstress, and a passionate advocate for education. She believed in the importance of lifelong learning and encouraged her family and community to pursue their dreams with determination and faith.


Gladys is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, James Tobin; her three loving children, David, Mary, and Lisa; her seven grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Anthony Regotti.


Her legacy of love, kindness, and community service will live on in the hearts of those she touched. While we mourn the loss of Gladys J. (Regotti) Tobin, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and countless beautiful memories.
