Born on January 12, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, Steven was the son of John and Mary Mills. He grew up with a love for learning and a deep sense of curiosity about the world. This passion led him to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he also met his future wife, Linda.

Steven's career was marked by innovation and dedication. As a lead engineer at several top firms, his expertise and vision were instrumental in developing cutting-edge technologies that have had a lasting impact on the industry. His colleagues remember him not only for his technical brilliance but also for his unwavering integrity and kindness.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Steven was a devoted family man. He married Linda in 1988, and together they built a loving home filled with laughter and warmth.
