It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dobrodiyka Jeannette Diane Rauliuk on June 12, 2024. Jeannette, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated community leader, passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 5, 1948, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jeannette spent her life devoted to her faith, family, and community. She was a respected and beloved figure within the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, where she served tirelessly, earning the affectionate title of "Dobrodiyka," a term of respect for a priest's wife.


Jeannette was known for her unwavering dedication to her community. She was actively involved in numerous church activities, from organizing events and fundraising to providing support and care for parishioners. Her warm, nurturing nature made her a central figure in the lives of many, and she was often seen as a source of comfort and wisdom.


Her contributions extended beyond the church. Jeannette was a passionate advocate for Ukrainian culture and heritage, participating in cultural festivals, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives. Her efforts helped preserve and promote Ukrainian traditions, fostering a strong sense of identity and pride among the community members.


Jeannette's legacy is one of love, service, and dedication. She leaves behind her husband, Fr. Mykhailo Rauliuk, their three children, and five grandchildren, who will miss her deeply. Her life's work has touched countless lives, and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.


A funeral service will be held on June 19, 2024, at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Winnipeg, followed by a burial at Elmwood Cemetery. The Rauliuk family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and requests privacy as they mourn their loss.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress or the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, organizations Jeannette passionately supported.


Dobrodiyka Jeannette Diane Rauliuk will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the enduring legacy of service she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
